Why We Created Rose Boost: A Conversation With Our R&D Team

Our mission at 82°E has always been to create high-performance products that are simple yet effective, and that help with the most common skincare concerns. And so we created Rose Boost, our new repairing eye cream that combines the power of rose and peptides, to help with the common under-eye skin concerns that most of us experience.

To understand more about the process behind developing Rose Boost we sat down for a detailed chat with Dr. Rachna Rastogi and Anjali Gholap, our Heads of R&D.

Q: What was the inspiration behind creating Rose Boost?

R&D: The skin around the area is thinner than other parts of the face. It has fewer oil glands, collagen, and elastin fibers, and it is, therefore, more prone to dryness and needs extra care. After formulating Ashwagandha Bounce (our rich yet lightweight moisturiser) which works to deeply hydrate skin, we still felt that an effective skincare routine required a specific product that focused on concerns related to under-eye appearance, fine lines, and wrinkles around the eyes. That’s why we created Rose Boost.

Q: What makes Rose Boost such an effective eye cream?

R&D: The combination of soothing properties of rose extract along with the targeted benefits of Acetyl tetrapeptide-5 (peptide) in a deeply hydrating base fortified with sodium hyaluronate and niacinamide makes Rose Boost an effective eye cream.

Q: What are the main eye concerns Rose Boost is designed to target?

R&D: Rose Boost is designed to target dark circles, and under-eye puffiness, and reduce the appearance of fine lines and crow’s feet over extended use.

Q: How will I know if I need Rose Boost?

R&D: With our hectic lifestyles and increased screen time, it is common for the delicate under-eye skin to get fatigued easily. That’s why it is important for almost all of us to specifically care for our under-eye skin. Dark circles and puffiness are caused both due to stress, lack of sleep, and hydration as well as genetic factors. If you are facing the former, Rose Boost can become a part of your routine. However, even if you don’t experience significant under-eye concerns just yet, it is always beneficial to begin using an eye cream as a caring measure.

Q: Why did you pick Rose and Peptides as the hero ingredients? What are their strengths?

R&D: We chose rose and peptides for their skincare benefits, knowing that when formulated together they would significantly help under-eye skin concerns. Rose is known for its calming and soothing effects. It also has antioxidant properties that help prevent cell damage and considerably improve the skin’s texture under and around the eyes. Peptides are signaling molecules known to activate the skin’s microcirculation which greatly helps in reducing dark circles and puffiness. It also helps to improve the appearance of eye contour. Overall the formula works together to give the skin around your eyes a healthy appearance.

Q: What were the findings from the Rose Boost clinical tests?

R&D: Our clinical studies revealed Rose Boost’s incredible results. In a 2-month study, we found that twice-a-day use of Rose Boost resulted in a significant reduction in under-eye circles, puffiness, and wrinkle intensity in a dermatologist evaluation. Within 4-weeks of application, 93% of users agreed the product helped to improve the overall appearance of the eye area.*

Q: How long do I need to use Rose Boost to see results?

R&D: Because of the sensitive nature of the skin around the eyes, eye creams take longer to show results. Typically, one would see benefits after consistent usage for 4-6 weeks.
